These terms cover your purchase and use of Thomsen Shield, Thomsen OSINT, and Thomsen VM, Windows desktop applications sold or distributed by Thomsen ("we", "us"). By buying or using any of them you agree to the terms below.
Thomsen Shield is a one-time purchase of €30.00 for a lifetime license. Thomsen VM is free. Thomsen OSINT isn't available for purchase yet - once released, it's planned as a one-time €10.00 lifetime license, and this page will be updated if that changes before launch. None of these are subscriptions: there's no recurring charge for any of them, unless a future product explicitly says otherwise.
Your Thomsen Shield license lets you install and activate it on one Windows PC at a time. You can deactivate it on one PC and activate it on another whenever you like - the app has a Deactivate option for this. Licenses are for personal use and aren't for resale or redistribution. All three products require Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
Thomsen Shield (and, once released, Thomsen OSINT) is delivered digitally: right after payment, your license key is shown on the checkout confirmation page and is ready to use immediately - no physical product is shipped, and there's normally no waiting period. See our Refund Policy for how this affects your right of withdrawal.
Thomsen Shield monitors network connections on your PC and lets you block, allow, and manage them through the Windows Firewall. It's a tool to help you see and control your PC's network activity - it is not a guarantee against malware, intrusion, data loss, DDoS attacks, or any other security incident. No security software can promise that. Use it as one part of your overall security practice, not the only one.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Prices shown include any applicable tax.
See our Refund Policy for how refunds and the EU right of withdrawal work. In short: we offer a voluntary 14-day refund window on top of your statutory rights.
We may disable a license that was obtained fraudulently, charged back, or used in violation of these terms. Outside of that, your license lasts for the lifetime of the product - we're not going to take it away.
Thomsen Shield is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages - including lost data or a security incident the software didn't catch - arising from your use of it. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid for the applicable license.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any mandatory right you have as a consumer under applicable law - including your statutory rights regarding defective digital content and, where it applies, your right of withdrawal (see our Refund Policy) - and nothing here excludes liability that can't lawfully be excluded, such as liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
These Terms are governed by applicable law within the European Union and European Economic Area (EU/EEA). If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory consumer protection rights provided by the laws of the country where you normally reside.
